     A friendly note: This blog post is mostly about my YouTube channel. This is just a little reminder for you guys just in case you don't like posts like this. If so, then you can just leave without wasting your precious time reading this. Why am I doing this? Well, some people are really vocal about their complaints and really hate this kind of posts, giving comments like "You are wasting my time here!" and "Really? Another post about your stupid YouTube channel?" and "Go **** yourself with your ******* YouTube channel!" I appreciate the feedback you are giving me, but if you really don't like posts like this, there is an option in your brain called "ignore", so you might want to consider using that option before reading this. Yes, I am talking to you, guy with nothing but negative comments about what other people do.

     Now that that's done, here's a video:
Pokemon Platinum w/ Rubin: Part 4 - RIP

     This one is a bit of a sad one as I'm officially discontinuing a series of mine. You don't see me doing this very often as I usually just leave a series behind if I want to discontinue it, so you just have to deal with this video. I'm not gonna get to much detail here on this blog post, so you might as well watch the video if you want explanations.

     In short, I'm not really interested enough in the game to continue doing a series on it. Regular Pokemon games also don't have much difficulty in it, plus the lack of a decent story-line, both of which makes me feel like it's not going to be entertaining for the people watching.

     A point that I did not explain in the video is that I haven't played the game before, and I don't want to ruin the fun of it by playing the game without recording. The problem with this is that I can't find that much time to do recording sessions, and it really bugs me that I have a game in my computer that I find interesting, yet I can't play it. Other than that, I don't get motivated as much from my other series as no one really watches this one. I know at least 3 people who continually watches my Ender Mission series. There's literally 0 views on my last episode of Pokemon Platinum.

     I am, however, planning a new Pokemon series for my channel to compensate for this loss. I've done a single recording session on it, and I'm very excited on how far it can go on my YouTube channel. I will try to be entertaining on that series and make sure that you guys are having as much fun as I am. Hopefully it doesn't go down like my current Pokemon series.

     I don't want to describe it too much, but I'll give you guys a few hints. It's my favourite Pokemon game so far. I haven't played a lot of Pokemon games, so that might change in the future. It also has a VERY HIGH difficulty to it, which should make it also VERY interesting and hopefully entertaining for you guys to enjoy. Be sure to subscribe to my channel to be updated on when that would come out! You can just scroll up the page and press that red "Subscribe" button! What? You're reading this on a phone? Then just manually go to my YouTube channel!

Short Term Memory Loss

     Woops.... Misclicked the "Publish" button way too early. Sorry one guy who saw this post when it was still incomplete...

     So..... Um... Here's a video I should've posted like a month ago..... Video 7 of 6 (wow...) of the 2014 MDK Taekwondo Championships...

     And of course, here's a gaming video to go along with it! It's Part 3 of my Pokemon Platinum Gameplay.

     So, yeah. I do apologize for the late video. It completely vanished from my brain until I saw it in my video archives. Phew... Now I'm glad that I actually keep all my videos in a hard drive.

     To be honest though, I do think that I might have Short Term Memory Loss. I can rarely remember something that happened recently unless I really take the effort to memorize it and store it in my brain. Usually I just keep a note on my phone about all the important things I need to know about, since I don't trust my brain really. However sometimes I just forget to look at my phone (Wow that's a whole loop on the memory loss...), which makes it sort of redundant...

     I do, however, remember things that happen a LONG time ago, which is why I think that I have STML. Weird really. I feel old now. Like a person with Alzheimer's disease... Just another thing to add to my "The World Hates Me" list...

     Minecraft: Ender Mission is back! Hopefully for a little while before December... Here's the latest episode!

Minecraft: Ender Mission E18: Ender Killer

     Anyway (anyways?), since I have nothing much of a story to tell, let's talk about my Youtube Channel. It's November, which means SCHOOL HOLIDAYS! And that means a lot more time for me to record, edit, render and put out my YouTube videos! MORE VIDEOS FOR EVERYONE!!

     I'll probably keep on going with Minecraft: Ender Mission, hopefully get more stuff done over there. I'm also hoping I can finally finish Pokemon Platinum Version, so that I can get into Generation 5. There's also going to be a Taekwondo competition coming up soon which I'm participating in, which renders me unable to record any videos, but FEAR NOT! I have a buddy who said he would help me record those videos, so more videos for the people who are not interested in gaming videos!

     However, there IS a problem in this. I have a very tight schedule on December. And when I said tight, I mean REALLY TIGHT, as in no room to breathe and think about anything else tight. So, if I get enough time, I'll pre-record some stuff in November, upload all of those, and put out videos when I get an Internet connection.

     There is a way in YouTube to schedule videos, but that goes into the world of YouTube Partners and video monetization, where I don't really want to get involved in. Don't know what YouTube Partners and monetization means? Well, it's basically a way for YouTubers (like your's truly) to earn money by displaying ads with their videos. See an ad in front of a YouTube video that let's you skip it after 5 seconds? Yeah, that's monetization for ya.

     I don't really like to put ads in my videos, heck I disabled ads on my videos on my channel by default. I always feel frustrated and bored when I see an ad in front of my favourite videos, so I don't want you guys to feel the same way. Plus, I don't really need the money, and how much money is 29 subscribers gonna give me? That's like RM0.25 (0.08 USD) per video... Not worth it at the moment.

     So, yeah...... Awkward ending to this blog post..... I really need to work on my blog ending skills. Heck I need to work on my "ending" skills, as I also feel awkward sometimes ending my videos too...

Swift Update

     Hi guys, this one's going to be pretty short since it's the examination season, but I just wanted to write something cause I missed writing stuff. My brain missed blogging too.

     First of all, if you haven't noticed (or haven't cared), I'm pausing my online "jobs" for the time being because of the examination season. I'm not dead or anything, in case you're wondering. I just didn't have enough time to write something before the examination started, but since we're having a short break, I said to myself, "Why not?" Don't worry though, I'll be back (hopefully) at the first week of November, and I have thought out a couple of plans for YouTube for that month, which I'll talk about when I come back.

     Next up, my YouTube channel hit 25 subscribers! Yay! It might not be much right now, but its a small step to bigger progress. I want to thank all the people that are supporting my online work, whether I know you personally or not. If I do, thank you so much. If I don't, even more thanks to you! It's because of people like all of you that make me want to continue doing what I do, so thanks guys.

     Anyways, I said this was going to be a short post, so a short post it shall be. Thank's for reading!

RAGE on Background Processes

This is only part of the page even.
     Rage. That's the only feeling that's is my mind right now.

     Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, a person was downloading something and SPECIFICALLY told everyone NOT TO SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER, and left his house. Two hours later, guess what he saw? THE FREAKING COMPUTER IS OFF. What's the excuse of the person who shut down the computer? "Oh, I didn't see anything on the computer, so I shut it down."

     Seriously? SERIOUSLY? You, are GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. Do you seriously think that you have to SEE something for it to exist?

     Look at the picture I conveniently uploaded on the top of the page. Please take a moment and look at the Taskbar (the blue bar with the Start Button (the round button with the Windows Logo (the logo that looks like a curved window with the colours red, green, blue and yellow (the colour with a RGB code of 255,255,0)))). There's no applications running except for the Windows Task Manager, which I would like you to direct your attention to right now. Look at the number at the bottom left of the Task Manager. THERE IS FREAKING 67 PROCESSES RUNNING! YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEE SOMETHING FOR IT TO EXIST! THEY ARE CALLED BACKGROUND PROCESSES FOR A REASON! B-A-C-K-G-R-O-U-N-D! IF MICROSOFT DECIDED TO MAKE A GUI (Graphical User Interface, a see-able window) AND SHOW EVERY SINGLE PROCESS RUNNING, MOST COMPUTERS IN THIS ERA WILL CRASH WITH EVERYTHING IT HAS TO LOAD! 


     This, is one of the reasons I hate being around people, really. Some just won't / wouldn't / couldn't / can't listen to simple instructions.

Contract Scam

     So, great news everybody! My microphone on my headset broke, so my gaming videos would be on a pause until I find a way to fix it or I buy a new mic. Now it can finally be on my great List Of Broken Electronic S***! Damn... And I was just trying to record some Pokemon Platinum when this thing wanted to break on me.

     Of course, that doesn't stop me from uploading more real-life videos! No mic required. So, here's a new one plus one that I was too lazy to post in a blog post.

     With the videos aside, let's talk about something that, surprisingly, gave me an emotional roller-coaster, even though it had nothing to do with me. So, everyone knows what a contract is, right? What everyone doesn't know is that MOST PEOPLE DOES NOT READ WHAT IS WRITTEN ON IT. Why am I so upset? I don't even know. I just got frustrated when I read a contract, or should I say "agreement", that just seem's so suspicious and just downright WRONG.

     So, there's an award ceremony that's going to happen in our school, and only students who are selected are allowed to attend that award ceremony. Those who are selected are given a piece of paper with hell lots of Malay words and spaces for people to sign in. The title of the paper is something like "Under-Aged Model Agreement" or something. Nothing wrong right? READ THE WORDS ON THE PAPER! Let me explain what makes that "agreement" so suspicious and is making me crazy every time I think about it.

     In my understanding, there is no need for a witness to sign that agreement unless a lawyer is involved. I can be wrong about that though, since I'm no lawyer or anything. But, if a lawyer REALLY is involved, then people really need to READ THE TEXT before they get cheated and have no power to fight back, cause what is written on it is just wrong and feels like it's invading our human rights, and that's what my second point is about.

I'll try my best to translate it from Malay and from the back of my head.
     Quote #1: "The pictures or videos taken can be used in any form for including but not limited to advertisement purposes." That basically just states that the company can use pictures/videos of you IN ANY WAY IT WANTS.
     Quote #2: "I agree that I will not lodge any complaints/lawsuits to XXX Company if I find that there are problems with the pictures/videos OR if the pictures/videos are damaged OR if the pictures/videos are modified in any way." Seriously man? Don't tell me that you guys reading this are still not convinced that this feels wrong. I mean, it's basically stating that they can modify your photos however they want!
     Quote #3: "All photos/videos, whether in the form of digital copies, negatives, films or those equivalent are full property of XXX Company" Do I really have to define that sentence for you? You basically do not have the right to blame them for anything since it's their property.

     After just those 2 points, do I need to explain myself on why I fell that the agreement was suspicious? Actually, I have really have no idea why I am so mad and frustrated about that contract scam. To be honest, I have nothing to do with it, so I myself am confused on why I'm riding this emotional roller-coaster. It's like I have a grudge with that piece of paper on my past life. Anyways thank you guys for reading this, your support is always appreciated, especially if you actually read the ENTIRE POST.

Remembering... [2014 MDK Taekwondo Championship Video #1]

     Remember when I said my wireless mouse was not responding on the last post? Well now, it really isn't freaking working. I have to downgrade to my old wired mouse which has a broken left mouse button. This stupid thing works well at one time, thinks I'm double clicking when I'm trying to single click, and sometimes it just doesn't work AT ALL. Well, at least only the mouse button is broken and not THE WHOLE ENTIRE STUPID MOUSE! I really need to invest some money on buying some better equipment man...

     Remember when I said my stupid camera could not handle USB file transfers? Well I was wrong about that. But, I could have sworn that I could not transfer files through USB before, but who cares? Now I can, so here's the first video of the competition I went to:

     Remember when my real-life videos were just plain videos? Well if you had watched this one, you would have noticed I added extra stuff into it, just because I have too little things to do in my life right now... To be honest, I think an intro and an outro (is that even a word? I don't know) is a little overkill for a real-life video, but hey, since I've created it, why not use it?

     Remember when I was worried about copyright issues on my real-life videos? Well now I have some more videos to worry about, 9 to be exact. Hopefully none of them would ruin my channel's "Good Standing", or result in the video being blocked in Malaysia. If the videos are blocked in any country other than Malaysia, then I don't really care. :D Oh, and if you are wondering, the music I used for the intro and outro is "royalty-free".      Remember when I used to apologize on my 801 Charity Concert videos? Well here's some more apologizing. I'm soooooo sorry for the echoes of the music in this and future videos. I recorded these videos somewhat above the speakers and with the way the stadium is built, it's basically an echo chamber. Physics! Sometimes you are fascinating, sometimes you are just getting in the way. Anyway I did what is possible (in my knowledge of audio editing) to reduce the echoes, but there is almost NO WAY to reduce the echo completely, so don't blame me, blame physics.

     Remember when I ran out of bullet puns? I still am. I think that I may have repeated one on the last post...

  • Maybe I repeated that pun again... Who knows? I have a bad memory due to the way my brain keeps talking to itself.
  • Remember the Pokemon series I had and I was wondering if I want to do 3 videos per week? Well I'm still wondering...

Computer Talk

     I'm finally back from the competition I mentioned last post, and boy, do I have some videos to post. Contrary to my thoughts, my camera did not fail me. It managed to record all of what I planned to record, plus some more extra clips, which is great for both me and everybody who watches those clips. Unfortunately though, my camera can't handle USB file transfers and I don't have a card reader. I usually use a newer camera for USB file transfers but that one is currently not in Malaysia, so my SD card and the videos I recorded in them have to wait and collect dust before the newer camera comes back.

     Well then, let's get into another topic! I got some new hardware on my computer, including a second monitor, which you guys have NO IDEA how much help that would give me on editing videos. With that said, there's still stuff on my computer that's like a pile of poop. One of them is this freaking wireless mouse that ain't responding as I am typing this post. RESPOND TO MY ORDERS YOU STUPID MOUSE! (You have no idea how hard it is for me to bold that sentence with this stupid mouse.). I thought that this wireless mouse had saved me from the horrors of my old wired mouse, but nope, history has repeated itself again....

     My video card/graphic card/GPU (Graphics Processor Unit), whatever you like to call it, is still old and pretty much poop. Of course people using Intel graphic cards from the 2000's (who still uses them anyways?) could only dream of having this graphic card, but actual computer people who live in 2014 (no offence to those who aren't...) would feel the same as me if they were using my graphic card. For those who are wondering, it's the NVIDA GeForce GT 220, one of the SLOWEST graphic cards you can still currently buy in the market, with a GPU clock speed of 625 MHz. If you don't speak computer specifications, the average graphic card has a GPU clock speed of 800 MHz, and that's the lower average of the group! It's a miracle that this graphic card can still run on Windows 7...

     The brain of my computer, the CPU (Central Processor Unit) of my computer is also pretty old, but it's not as bad as my GPU. My CPU is the Intel Core i5 661, slightly above the WORST of graphic cards still in the market, so I guess it's better than my GPU. With that said, I'm pretty happy with this CPU. It has a clock speed of 3.33 GHz, which to be honest is better than most Intel i7 Cores out there. It's a great CPU if you're not doing anything that uses a lot of CPU power.

     Speaking of which, rendering videos takes A LOT of both GPU power and CPU power, which I don't really have right now. Rendering my gaming videos were no problem at all, since they were all low quality 480p videos, but you have NO IDEA how many heart attacks I had while rendering the first 801 Charity Concert video with my CPU. Since those videos were all High Definition 720p videos, a lot more power was needed to render them. The fan on the CPU just went wild and the core temperature jumped to 88°C, just at the brink of overheating my CPU. I had to keep watching the core temperature, making sure it did not go over 90°C, and every time it hits 89°C, my heart feels like it's going to explode.

     Then, a dark horse appeared. I found a setting in my video editing software which goes: "Render using CUDA". CUDA is basically a parallel computing architecture introduced by NVIDIA which allows multiple threads to be processed slowly concurrently. Don't speak computer? It processes a lot of things slowly at the same time, which decreases the power needed to process things, while still maintaining the same amount of things processed compared to processing one thing at a time quickly, which is how CPUs and GPUs used to work before CUDA was introduced. Still confused? Well here's the Wikipedia page. 

     Anyways, I was like, "Wait, didn't my GPU support CUDA?" I did some research and I found that my GPU really supported CUDA, so I tried rendering my second 801 Charity Concert video using CUDA and I was surprised. I was surprised that the fan of my CPU wasn't going crazy. I was surprised that my CPU is hardly doing any work. I was surprised that my GPU is actually rendering the video at about the same speed (maybe a little slower) as my CPU was, without overheating.

     So the moral of today's story is: Never underestimate anyone, not even someone who is still a complete poop and is the slowest person in the world. You never know if they might surprise you with their magical powers!

     To be honest though, my GPU is still poop, but a little less poopy now at least... :D

Plans for the future

     To start off today's post, let me get something clear, since most people that read my "Zombie Infection" post did not read the "Infection Update" post. I ONLY GOT BIT BY A BUG AND IT GOT INFECTED BECAUSE THE STUPID BUG THAT BIT ME PEE-ED ON IT TOO. (Don't ask me why, how, or when, cause I have no clue.) THAT'S ALL. IT IS NOT SHINGLES. IT IS NOT CONTAGIOUS!!!

     Well, technically if you also have a wound that's isn't sterilized and it comes into contact with my infected wound, it CAN infect, but it's highly unlikely that someone would touch my infected wound that looks like a zombie bite. Right? Yeah, let's go with that.

By the way, I recently found out that most mobile readers can't actually see the embedded video right there, so I'll start putting the actual link below the video every time I post one of these from now on.

     Speaking of videos, I have a question for my gaming video viewers, so if you are not one of them, just skip this paragraph. So, currently my "schedule" for gaming videos is one random gaming video every Thursday. I have a new proposition. I might make a schedule of 2 Pokemon videos per week, and keep the "one random gaming video every Thursday" schedule. This is due to the fact that the only thing that is motivating me to play Pokemon Platinum is to record episodes. I don't want to play it without recording because that would just ruin my "first-time-playing-this" feel for the series. If I continue to just put out 1 episode per week, this game would take maybe 1-2 years to finish. I DON'T WANT THAT. So, with this new schedule, I can at minimum half the time needed for me to finish the game, and you guys can have more videos per week! So, technically it's a win-win situation, right? Well, not really, at least for me. Having to make more videos per week means that I have to spend more time doing background work. If you have read the "Art of Making Videos" post, you would know that there is A LOT of background work needed to make videos. Just uploading a 20 minute 480p video takes 120 MINUTES (2 HOURS! Just in case you are bad at maths.), all thanks to my useless Internet speed. I'm kinda in a "to do or not to do" situation here, but of course, you guys have the priority over my decisions simply because you guys actually watch my videos, so if you guys think that 3 videos per week is good, then I'll definitely do it. Please comment below or contact me in any way to give me your thoughts on this matter.

     Coming back to my other readers, I have some plans for the near future on Real-Life Videos, since most of my readers prefer that more than my gaming ones. I'm going to a competition (not going to say when...) and of course I'm going to bring my camera to record anything interesting. If you are wondering, yes, it is the stupid camera with the stupid battery that is just plain stupid and can't record stupid videos for more than just a stupid hour. Have I wrote stupid enough times yet? Probably. Anyways, look forward to that. I'll be posting them as soon as I can edit, render, upload and write a post about it.

Infection Update (Mini Post)

Remember when I said I was bit by a zombie and got infected? Apparently I was kinda correct on that, so....RUN EVERYBODY! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

With that aside, let's talk about the truth. Yes, I was bit, but not by a zombie. I was bit by a bug and that wound that I never really noticed got infected by the bug's urine(that is just gross...). The end.

Apparently if I did not see a doctor soon, that infection would have spread around my whole arm and I had to get my arm chopped off, so yeah. Good thing I went to see a doctor huh?

Anyways that's the end of this mini post. Just a little update of my infected arm.

I'm sorry to tell you all this, but this may be my last blog post, ever. I've been bitten by a strange man who keeps on saying "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" and I think that I have a flu. All the signs of a zombie apocalypse is here. STOCKPILE YOUR FOOD! PREPARE WEAPONS! FORTIFY YOUR HOUSE! RUN IF YOU HAVE TO! GET READY BEFORE I KILL US ALL!!!!!

I'm just joking. I don't even have a cold, not to mention a flu. I just have a few rashes and blisters on my arm that seems to be spreading larger day by day. But come on, doesn't that look like a zombie bite? No? Okay. Anyways I think it might be Herpes zoster (or commonly known as shingles. Wikipedia page right here) which apparently IS contagious (which is opposite of what my parents told me), so anyone that had contact with me earlier today and had never have the chicken pox disease, I suggest you stay alert and go to a doctor if rashes and blisters occur. On the bright side, at least you won't get the chicken pox disease when you get older. (For those who don't know, chicken pox diseases strike a lot harder when a person is older.)

Of course, all that isn't confirmed by a professional yet. I'll have to go see a doctor to get an actual report of what the heck is on my arm. But for now, let's just be safe and go see a doctor if you have rashes/blisters.

Anyways, let's get to the main point of this blog post. [Wait, that's not even the main point yet?] Of course it's not the main point. [But the title is "Zombie Infection" and you just wrote 4 paragraphs on that! How can that not be the main point?] Well that's just a cover-up for this post. Now shut up and continue reading. [All right...] I said shut up! [Okay, okay, shutting up.] ...... [......] Where was I? Oh right. The main point.

The Art of Making Videos

A lot of people I know think that making videos is simple. "All you have to do is hit record, save it to your computer, upload it and Viola! Done." Sure, that works too, if you want a bad quality video, and I know

Making videos is more than just that. Take for instance my Ender Mission series. Each episode I use like at least half an hour (in a good day. A bad day? Maybe a few hours...) planning what I have to do. I think of what to say and what to do and things like that.

Then comes testing. I start testing my mic, my video capture program and see if things are set up to the way they are supposed to. I don't want to go into a recording session without my mic plugged in, I had too many experiences of that already.

After making sure that everything is in workable condition, I start my recording session. The length of the recording session varies according to a few things: the length of the video, difficulty of the things I'm trying to do in the video, luck and sanity. Yes, sometimes I go crazy in a recording session and I have to do that whole thing all over again, which makes me more insane, but hey, it's for entertainment.

After recording the video, then comes the hardest part in video making: EDITING. This can take up like 1-10 hours (more or less) depending on what I'm doing. Some people would say that, "Oh, editing? That can be done in a few minutes." My response is, "Are you making a 10 second video?" Editing is hard. Editing is ruthless.  Just trying to balance between "too dark" and "too bright" can take an hour.

However, RENDERING is even WORSE. It could take 1 hour to render a 10 minute video. Do the math and you get 2 hours per 20 minute video. Of course, rendering time depends on the quality of the video and your computer power. Have a great computer with great processor speed and a great GPU (Graphics Processor Unit a.k.a. Graphics Card a.k.a. Video Card) and congratulations, your rendering time is decreased by 10 minutes.

After editing and rendering, the rest is pretty simple. Just upload and advertise and you got yourself a video. Taadaa! Welcome to the video making industry!

So, what's the point of all this? None. I just wanted to post something new on my blog and have a place to put this future gaming series teaser:

801 Charity Concert Video #4

Unplugged and the Keat Hwa Symphony Orchestra
Ah... My last video on the 801 Charity Concert... It's not even the complete performance as I was late on hitting the record button, and of course my battery died in this one, but hey, I still uploaded it!

I'll just put the video here because I have some stuff to write that most people won't even read, so here you go. This video features the Keat Hwa Symphony Orchestra (Group? Team? Who knows...) and "Unplugged", 3 talented singers from our school that I won't try to name because I forgot what the name of one of them is, and of course the usual crew talking in the background....

Now for the more boring part:
I want to say thank you to all the people who watched my videos, and even subscribed to my channel. Just from the 801 Charity Concert videos, I got more than 500 views and a handful of subscribers. I really appreciate the support, although most of you don't recognise (recognize?) it as "supporting" me, but just looking at the numbers grow puts a smile on my face every time and makes me want to continue doing what I do. Although most of the other videos after this one are going to be my gaming videos, I'll keep on uploading real-life ones when I get the chance to record some. Hey, there's the Keat Hwa Idol Finals coming around the corner (Next week if you are reading this the same day I published this), so maybe I'll go and record some stuff there! More thanks to those who read my blog posts, because just like my channel, I feel like I've actually accomplished something in my life when I see the statistics grow every post. I'll try to write blog posts more often, and upload a video at least once a week as my sign of appreciation to all of you guys. And finally, I want to say again in all the languages I know: "Thank You. Terima Kasih. 谢谢."

Why the heck did I write that like I just hit 1 million subscribers on Youtube, I have no clue. But at least my post has some things in it! And maybe I have something to copy from in the event that I actually hit that milestone :D

801 Charity Concert Video #3

Hey guys! I'm back! Had exams last week so I was a little inactive. No worries, cause here's the next 801 Charity Concert Video!!! This one is a little hard to feature a single group, as it's A LOT of people from different dancing styles that I don't even know about, so I'll just call this video "A Lot Of People Dancing". 801 Charity Convert Video #2

I'm actually surprised from the page views the last post I posted got. I mean, I kinda expected that, but I did not expect 50 views in 2 days. So thank you all who chose the path of the Blogger link rather than the Youtube link.

However, I was also surprised that the views of the video on Youtube is less than the views of the blog post. What is going on? Are you guys reading my posts but not watching the video? Even if you say that "Oh, I went to the Charity Concert and watched the performances already...", there's some interesting background shouting in that video (as well as the ones after) worth checking out, so GO DO THAT, HERE! (Shameless Self-Advertising :D)

Sorry for that nonsense, I had to think of a way to make this post more than just a video advertisement (by making it an advertisement for 2 videos? Wow...).

Anyways, without further ado, here's the 2nd video for the 801 Charity Concert.
This video features the Keat Hwa Military Band (team? group? squad? I don't know...) as well as Matthew, me and the other guys shouting around the "photospot". Have no idea what a "photospot' is? Check out my last post! (More shameless self-advertising. No link though, go find it yourself!)

Yes Youtube, I know there's copyrighted material. It's never going to hit 300+ views so you won't lose any money. I even acknowledged the copyright claim. Apparently it wasn't even Sony that claimed it, it was some weird company... At least it didn't block my video :D

801 Charity Concert Video #1

The Art of Photospotting
As part of the ICT team in the school charity concert, I got the chance to use a "photospot", which is technically a big spotlight you would see in concerts and stuff like that. The good thing of controlling the "photospot" is that I get the best seat in the house and the view is just amazing. I brought my camera to record some videos of the performances right next to the "photospot", so here's the opening ceremony and the first performance. Good thing the camera didn't melt from the heat of the "photospot".

Of course, what is a job without some chaos, shouting around, misfortune and hard work?

Chaos and shouting around can be easily heard in this video (and the upcoming ones) as our "supervisor" "supervises" us while we were using the "photospot".

Misfortune is that my camera battery went out after a few performances. Best. Battery. Ever. Therefore, I can't record and upload all of the performances, only the first few.

Hard work is the editting of the videos I recorded. Like just now: Best. Camera. EVER. Stupid thing keeps focusing on the LED screen and not on the performers so I had to edit the brightness and countless things which most people won't understand if I list them out so I'll just say brightness. Plus, I had to rotate the video cause I placed the tripod in an angle, but that's none of the camera's fault.

Well... I can't think of a conclusion for the post.... So..... Enjoy the video.... I guess.........

Nobody cares...

It's been a while since I wrote any posts, but trust me, I wanted to write one for a looooong time. I usually try to not write stuff that are private-styled, but I'll make an exception here.

To be honest, I feel VERY furious while writing this. My family members (especially the ones on top of the "organisation chart") has the tendency to make false assumptions about me with the things I do.

Just because I am using the computer doesn't mean that I am playing computer games. Just because I am downloading files does not mean that I am downloading computer games. Just because I want to go to a convention does not mean that I want to play computer games there. Just because I am visiting a friend does not mean I am going there to play computer games. You getting the trend of where this is going yet? No? Congratulations. You are just like "the people" that I speak of. Here's a few scenarios of what I mean.

Scenario A: Rubin is editing a video for school purposes.

Scenario B: Rubin is downloading motion backgrounds and After Effect templates for school video purposes.

Scenario C: Rubin is talking about a convention to meet some famous people.
(In my defense, the convention DOES NOT provide 10-hour-gaming-service.)

Scenario D: A pop-up advertisement of computer games appears out of now-where on the screen.

You know what's the worst part of all this is? It's that nobody cares. Nobody in this world cares that deep in my heart I feel hurt, I feel betrayed by the people closest to me, I feel alone, I feel isolated. How many people are actually currently reading this? Probably less than 5.

Like I said, nobody cares. That's why I prefer talking to myself than to other people. That's why I like to be all alone and anti-social. Nobody knows what it feels like to be me. Nobody ever cares. The only person that actually knows how I feel is me.

And I know there's probably people saying: "I've been through **** worse than this. Go **** yourself!" Well, thank you for being the jerk of the year. Maybe after that I can finally have the courage to jump out of the window from a 10-storey building.

Just joking, I'm not that crazy and desperate yet. But I sure am damn close to getting to that kind of mental state. Still, nobody cares, so I guess still nobody would care if I really killed myself, but I won't do that.

Maybe after a few more holes through my heart I would, but right now I won't. I give you my word, but nobody cares. Even me myself doesn't really care about myself sometimes, so I doubt anyone would care...

Maybe I'll make more posts like this one. Ones that are more private-styled. This IS just the tip of the iceberg, though. There's still plenty of holes in my heart I've never talked about. Probably won't talk about them in the near future though, but nobody cares if I ever talk about them...

You know (I'm saying 'you' like someone's actually going to read this...), I find that I lack stuff in my little puny life. Let's see... : Persistance, Diligence, Social Life, Mental Stability, but most importantly, Self Confidence.

I've went through times this year where my self confidence was put to the test, but failed... Here's an example:
Task A is your average task with an average reward and has an average difficulty; Task B is a high caliber task (did I spell that wrong?) with an extremely great reward and of course a somewhat high difficulty. My heart goes "Do Task B! It's going to be a great experience!" and I actually agree with it (not something you see everyday). And then my brain HAD to interfere and goes "Well if you screw it up you're as good as dead, guy! Take the easy way out and do Task A!".

This lead me to a dilemma. Do I follow my heart, or follow my brain? Both of them made me do countless things in the past I regret which I wish not to speak about, ever (maybe someday I will...). I had to give an answer in like 5 seconds so my self confidence got me. I followed my brain.

Was it a bad decision? I don't know. You regret it yet? Too early to tell, to be honest. And this kind of stuff happened to me at least twice this year. Sigh... The eternal conflict between my brain and my heart goes on... Let's just see what happens in the future I guess, it's not like I can travel back into time to change anything. Even if I can, the paradoxes that could happen could just end space and time as we know it.

Can I talk about the things my heart wanted and made me regret my decision forever? Nah.... That's too much information for the 0 number of people who would actually read until this paragraph...

"No need to ask, parents sure say no."

I've read an article in the newspaper today about how parents like to jump the gun and say "no" on most requests from their teenagers. Quoting the article,
The word "No" tends to escape well-meaning parent's lips too quickly.

I'm not saying whether it's right or wrong. It's the article that's saying that it's somewhat wrong.
"Particularly for teenagers, conversation ceases the moment you blurt out a quick 'No'. By asking permission, they are letting [their parents] into their life and space......"

I'm writing this post because most of us teenagers go through this part of our life. To be honest, that's one of the reasons why I'm a bit socially awkward like I am, but that's a story for another blog post.

By getting the answer "No" every single time they request something, we will hear one of the favourite phrases of teenagers (cue article quote):
[Head of] the youth division in Fei Yue Community Services says: "You hear teenagers telling their friends: 'No need to ask, parents sure say no.', then they go on to do what they like."

This is actually very dangerous as teenagers might go do drugs or something crazy like that.

But let's face it, the power of the answer "No" is huge. Whether if it's from parents, in a "relationship", in a work interview, or even a simple "Can I borrow some money?", if we can overcome it, we can definitely do anything. Not sure if I've done it yet, but hey, that's just my (and the article's) opinion.

Opinions on Buying Games

Steam Summer Sale 2014 is here guys!!!
"Meh... I can just download it from pirate bay."
"But the games that go on sale aren't fun."
"I don't have money."
"I want to buy 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare'/ 'PvZ: Garden Warfare' / 'Super-Expensive-Games-That-Are-Still-Expensive-In-The-Sale' "
"What in the world is Steam?"

That's what most of the responses I get from my Malaysian friends when I get out of my Anti-Social Shell and try to create a conversation with someone. Which then leaves me awkwardly standing/sitting there having no idea what to talk about next. Well here's what I got to say about those responses.

DISCLAIMER: These opinions are just thoughts of mine. Please forgive me if any disrespect is shown for some people in this matter.

Response #1 : Cracked Games
To be honest, I play cracked games as well. But this is only for those that cost like 50 USD or something that I do not have the ability to pay. I am not teasing anyone for downloading and playing cracked games. However, in my opinion, if (I repeat: IF) you have the ability to pay for a game, why not do it? I mean think about the developers and designers and people who spend weeks, even months creating a game for our entertainment. They need to earn money too. They probably have a wife, children and parents who are in the hospital praying that their son/daughter can pay for their hospital fees by making games. (That might be a little bit hyperbolic, but it might be real.) The Steam Sale is a great opportunity for people to still support developers while not using too much of their money.

Response #2: Games on sale are not fun
Guy, you probably didn't really go through the games that are on sale. Almost EVERY SINGLE GAME on Steam is on sale. Just keep looking through the list and you'll find a game you like. There's also a "Wishlist" function on Steam which let's you sort games you want in order of price.
Oh yeah, there's also gamers who are used to playing their favourite games (Do I really have to list them out? I think I have to or people won't get the idea...) like DOTA/LOL players, COD players, Online-FPS-Games players, the list can go on if I want to. GO CHECK OUT THE WORLD OF GAMING AND STOP BEING AN ANTI-OTHER-GAMES PERSON (It's really ironic right, me being an socially-akward person)

Response #3: Money
If you come from a poor family, then I have no comments. But like I said in Response #1, if you have the ability to buy a game from legal sources, then why not do it?

Response #4: I have no idea how to title this one.
This is somewhat the same as being an anti-other-games-person.
COD:AW isn't even released yet. Heck it doesn't even have a pre-order option. To be honest, I really think COD is HIGHLY OVER-RATED (again, my own opinion.). The franchise has some good games in it, but the "we-must-put-out-a-title-every-year" strategy they are having really kills the mood for me.
PvZ: GW isn't even a Steam game, and it probably won't be.

Response #5: What is Steam...
Really..... Well I'm glad that you don't call yourself a true gamer because if you don't even know or heard of Steam, you can't be one (once again, my own opinion). Steam is basically a "Shop" for people to buy games legally. It's kinda like "Apple App Store" and "Google Play Store" minus the fake apps that are viruses. Steam also provides servers for multiplayer games. If you play cracked games, chances are you can't play multiplayer, which are the highlights of some games. Well, that was a long one wasn't it? I don't have hopes like "I hope I changed your mind about gaming now" or "I hope you are a different person" or whatever. This is just a post of my opinions, and mine alone. Again, may I clarify: I AM NOT TRYING TO TEASE OR DISRESPECT ANYONE. THESE ARE ONLY MY OPINIONS. I JUST WANT A MEDIUM WHERE I CAN GET THEM OUT OF MY F-ING HEAD SO THAT IT WILL F-ING SHUT UP.

Java (Mee)

Java Mee :D

In Malaysia (or other Asian countries, I don't really know.), there's a dish named Jawa Mee, or Jawanese Noodles. It's really tasty if you ask me, but I'm talking about another Jawa. A Jawa that is spelled "Java".

If you had to ask, Java is a programming language like C++ and Python and Lua and....I got nothing else. It's used in a lot of software and games, in my case Minecraft. I'm trying my best in making a modpack here but Java keeps blocking my freaking way!

I'm getting "NullPointerException" and "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" and "NoClassDefFoundError" and "ClassNotFoundException" and "RubinIsGoingCrazyException" and all sort's of crashes. (The last one's not really real :D )

For those who don't speak Programming, the quoted things in the previous paragraph are "errors" or "exceptions" or "crashes" or "messages that tell you something is wrong" or "if you still don't understand what the quoted things are you need to learn English. NOW."

How I wish I can have a great bowl of Jawa/Java Mee right now... I can freaking throw it towards the computer.

Hey. Anyone want to learn Lua? I know I want to.

So here I am, lying on my bed, correcting every mistake Swype is doing and writing a post that no one would probably care and read, trying to not have a mental breakdown.
